“Bookings…the life line of your business. If you are out of bookings you are out of business!"
When I was a new Beauty Consultant, I was so scared to book appointments. Until I realized that we ARE NOT selling a product. Instead, we are offering a gift. We offer the gift of 1.5 hours of pampering and beauty time to women who are overworked, under-appreciated and in need of some relaxation. So, our gift is easy to share with women because they truly need a break from their insanely busy lives. And when you can get the dollar signs out of your mind and you focus on making her feel important, your business will absolultely flourish.
Key Principles
1. Set Booking Goals when it comes to booking. You should be willing to take you personal feelings off the table because hearing no‘s‘ just comes with the territory. To build a successful Mary Kay business, you can set goals and do the activity it takes to get to my desired results.
2. You can get past the negative emotion that is sometimes associated with hearing no‘s‘ when you:
* Set personal goals such as 10 parties in my datebook at all times.
* Find an accountability partner such as a sister Independent Beauty Consultant.
* Turn in my Weekly Accomplishment sheet to my Independent Sales Director to help me stay on track.
* Make a game out of hearing the no‘s‘. I could challenge myself to play the 100 No‘s Game!
1. Print 100 No‘s Game
2. You can work you business with the goal of filling in the squares with Yes‘ or No‘.
3. It can be no to a complimentary facial, no to a skin care class, or no to the Mary Kay opportunity.
4. On my way to 100 no‘s, you confidence and skills will improve. You'll be amazed at the yes‘s you've gotten along the way!
Types of Bookings...
In my opinion there are 4 types of bookings...
1. Initial Booking with family and friends to jump or re-jump start your business. For this, pick a date with your hostess, get her guest list (10-15 ladies) and then use the same coaching below.
2. Referral Booking
3. Booking a lead from warm chat, a booth, restrauant events, wedding fair etc.
4. Booking a party from a facial or party. This is the BEST way to continue on your business. Make it a requirement to book 2 parties from each party you have! ;)
Lucky you! I have made it super simple for you and created one document with multiple scripts for you to use!

This is how you can set up and use the 21 day challenge to book but also have a place to track follow up for customers and potential team members.
1. Make your wedding list. This is a list of all the women you would invite to your wedding with name AND numbes. Put a star next to the woman you can see in person.
2. Impliment the 21 day system choosing the appropriate script (21 Day Booking Challenge) for the right person.
*If you wont to move more quickly call more than 10 names a day
3. Call the 'easiest' name first. This boosts your morale.
* If you need to do jumping jacks before hand to get you pumped up go ahead!!
* Make sure to smile on the phone :)
4. Have your date-book open and filled with your personal obligations. Know when YOU have the time to schedule an appointment and always give them 2-3 options that WORK FOR YOU!
* YOU tell them when YOU want to work
5. Make the calls. Don't worry about the answers, just focus on the activity.
6. Celebrate your success. One booking is a success! Jump, dance, sing - you just accomplished the most important part of your business!
It's ALL about Booking
Remember, a woman will book and HOLD a party for 1 of 3 reasons:
1. For free product
2. To pamper/have fun with friends
3. To help you
When you call to book there are 3 things you MUST cover:
1. What's in it for her
2. What's in it for you
3. Why NOW - must be a timeline for our goal otherwise they may try to book many months out.
